The Committee for Portland is a passionate group of local leaders dedicated to building a thriving and economically sustainable community.
We identify opportunities and address challenges to make Portland an attractive place to live and work.
Our focus is to engage with all the major business leaders in town to explore opportunities that lead to growth and prosperity. We have been able to ‘do good work’ through the various committees we have established; Women in Business, Portland Young People’s Network, Glenelg Producers Group, Jobs 4 Portland and Education.
This has lead to much success; including the launch of our premises at the Portland Business Hub. This initiative has assisted small businesses establish themselves which has lead to growth and employment opportunities that benefit the community.
The Committee for Portland will continue to advocate on major issues that affect our livelihood including; Renewable Energy, Rail and Road Connectivity, Manufacturing and Digital Connectivity. However we need your assistance to continue the good work that we do and to take advantage of the opportunities that are emerging.
